4 Animated Music Videos That Will Impress the Heck Out of You

1. "Change is Everything" by Son Lux

This video gives a strong start to this list. Don’t let the elegant simplicity of the animation fool you, this was clearly a herculean effort by The Made Shop to get such smooth movement using only string, tacks, and boundless patience. This three minute video took more than 4000 frames to produce and could only mean that this work of art was surely a labor of love.

2. "Lone Digger" by Caravan Palace

A sharp departure in both genre and animation style, this video for ‘Lone Digger’ produced by Cumulus gives you a good dose of animalistic violence while still managing to stay beautiful. Rich colors and effective lighting help to set the scene for a fresh sensual take on the age-old rivalry of cats and dogs. Heads up, this is definitely Not Safe For Work. Seriously.

3. "The Road" by ALB

Parisian director Julien Lassort knocks it out of the park with the video for ALB’s ‘The Road’. Most music videos usually focus on developing narrative or emphasizing the musical progression, but this video perfectly blends both. The blend of abstract and descriptive imagery really sets this work apart from other motion-graphic centric music videos.

4. "Delta" by C2C

Another french studio, CRCR, is responsible for the breathtaking video for ‘Delta’. The narrative takes us on a journey of a kingdom facing a  losing battle to an unknown superpower. While the song is quick, poppy, and seemingly upbeat, this powerful interpretation leaves you feeling anything but.
