The Coolest Album Concept in a Long, Long Time

When I first stumbled upon Alohaha's debut album, I thought there had been a mistake. Did this band realize they had forgotten to upload their songs individually? Aloha's 30-minute album only consists of two parts, "Side A" and "Side B," both clocking in at around 15-minutes long.

As soon as I began listening, I realized this was not a mistake, yet one of the more unique concepts I've seen in a long time. Replicating the experience of listening to a record on vinyl, Alohaha released their album in two parts to encourage listeners to take in the whole album at once, instead of just in bits and pieces.

This holistic approach guides the listener through a chill and tropical listening experience. An experience that I may not have ventured through without this new approach to the music streaming format.

Thank you, Alohaha, for being bold and challenging listeners to try something new. Not only did this approach win me over, but this album has me itching for more.
