New Releases from The Fratellis, Pinegrove, and Typhoon
Another Friday, another day of music releases. This time around, we’re highlighting a bevy of unique singles from upcoming albums to watch out for soon. Make sure to include these killer tracks in your weekend queue, and then check out our FINDS playlist to keep the new tunes coming for the entire month.
1. “Rorschach” by Typhoon
In what has seemed like an eternal wait, Typhoon has finally revealed the release date for their next project, titled Offerings. It’s hard to detail the concept behind the album in just one paragraph, but let’s say lead singer Kyle Mortonson’s aspirations are epic in scale. Once again, the sometimes 12-person band doesn’t fail to successfully leverage all of their weapons, and this first single has me itching for more.
2. “The Next Time We Had” by The Fratellis
Along with an announcement for the upcoming album, The Fratellis have dropped a brand new single. Perfect for your next disco party, the track is full of life and sets the tone for the March album release. It’s safe to say that the energy that sets these Scottish rockers apart from the rest hasn’t gone anywhere for their fifth LP.
3. “Intrepid” by Pinegrove
After the resounding success of their debut album, Pinegrove is targeting an early 2018 release for their new LP, and we couldn’t be more excited. The first single is on the somewhat more reserved end of the spectrum and features an unorthodox song structure without the chorus we're all used to. That being said, fans will still feel right at home with fantastic lyrics and booming guitars abound.
